Galaxy S8

Galaxy S8

When I received an email this morning from Best Buy telling me to pre-order the new Galaxy S8, I immediately became excited. I love Samsung products. Setting aside specs, their design style is what most attracts me- So sleek, classy, and high end. So of course, I couldn’t wait to see the final outcome of their new Galaxy phone design. The excitement ended there. The old school Palm Pre curves? The finger print scanner on the back? The “Iris” and “Face” scanner? (Which to me, just lessens security) The wrap around screen that you’ll be constantly clicking random stuff with your pinky and thumb? Even though this would make viewing in VR great, I’m unfortunately gonna have to give this a hard “Pass”.

The Hardest Thing I’ve Had To Do Lately

iPhone6restore

It’s official, my iPhone is now updated to iOS 9.3.1. After waiting way too long on 9.0.2 for a new Jailbreak, I’m now a customer of Samsung.  I still have possession of my iPhone for a few more months until the lease is up, so I decided hey, the majority of the tweaks aren’t working, the battery is dying too quickly, and I can’t type without a bunch of X’s and  C’s typing themselves anyway- might as well finally update. Watching the Restoring process progress bar was like watching someone burn a very sentimental object in front of me. So back to a 4 icon dock, and no more “CAX” as the wireless carrier up top. Ugh, glad I have the Galaxy S7 to keep me company until the new iPhone comes out.

My Samsung Gear VR

There’s nothing that I love more right now than virtual reality. And my experience (less than a week so far) with the Samsung Gear VR has been beyond incredible. From swimming with sharks in OceanRift to sitting on a Jet with strangers in vTime, and to even playing ring toss- Sorry, ROCKET toss. It’s amazing. Watching movies and shows in the Oculus Theater is 10,000 times better than on a regular tv. I seem to get more into the content, laugh harder, and feel more.

Invasion

I definitely fell in love when this lil bubbs ran up to me♥
I smiled so big while watching this short VR movie, Invasion. I even clapped and ‘awww’ed throughout, EVEN bounced a couple times due to excitement. Me typically being quite an inexpressive person, that’s pretty huge. I’d recommend INSIST that everyone at least tries the 360 VR experience. Nothing short of being amazed, guaranteed. I can stay focused for hours on the content, instead of not being able to sit still in the real world. Everyone that I’ve shown it to, immediately got lost in it. The fascination is hypnotizing.
